This initiative has received a positive response from both the patients and the staff. The employees are reporting shorter waiting times, hence the reduced number of irritable customers, and they are also happy about the fact that things can be planned out and scheduled. Additionally, it has also helped people in focusing more on building relationships and being courteous. This gives time to keep patients happy along with providing their family members support so that they know that they can rely on the organization.

Patients can also pre-book their appointments, so that they can avoid the hassle of coming and waiting for the physician to take their case. They can simply log on to the website, mention their details, and their file number will pop up which in turn indicates to the attendant that the patient is requesting a visit. Based on this, the physician is informed of the timing, i.e. when the patient will be arriving, and the operational process becomes smoother. So, while maintaining records, the patient is also being provided an additional service that further improves his or her experience.

To conclude, I would just like to say that digitizing an organization’s processes helps in overcoming many issues, and results in the improvement of the processes, and the overall experience of the customers. Many industries have started moving from traditional modes of conducting a business to digital transformation as it has helped them on optimally utilizing the resources that they have. Additionally, it has also helped in developing the industry, and adopting newer and faster ways of conducting business.

Continuous process improvement is an approach that should be used when a company wants to survive in this world. Competition is increasing and the world is becoming a busy place, in order for company to stay on the radar, they cannot remain aloof to the new developments. This is why I feel that the step to digitally transform record keeping while at the same time, introducing a service for the customers which was previously unavailable at this place is something that is going to bring further improvement.
