section of Blackboard. Using all the documents (both primary and secondary) in that chapter, answer the
correlating question:
While answering the relevant question using ALL the sources in the chapter, your paper will also be
comparing and contrasting the role of the documents. What is your thesis? How does each document support
or detract from your thesis or argument? Do you think the editors’ selection of these documents is
effective? What voices are represented? What voices are missing? DO NOT JUST SUMMARIZE THE DOCUMENTS.
It is your job for this paper to be an objective historian. Using the materials you have, give your best
assessment. Make sure when referencing each document you properly contextualize, understanding whether it
is being used as a primary or secondary source.
